I moved into my home in January of 2000. It is a small house but with a large 3 car garage. A friend put my Valiant convertible in sideways against the north wall by sliding it in on two floor jacks like roller skates. The Barracuda was placed along the west wall perpendicular to the Valiant at its rear. The middle bay is for my daily driver and the Charger is along the east wall and there is still plenty of room. But, in our haste to move, I shoved a 383 and 413 block on their ends between the Valiant and the wall along with the Charger's transmission. Getting the transmission out was not too hard. The engines fit between the space behind the Valiant and the west wall. I was walking them out and then they got stuck on the bumper (heads, cam, crank, pistons, oil pan all off). It took several tries to engineer a solution. The Valiant's tires are flat so I had to squeeze between the rear bumper of the Barracuda and the rear fender of the Valiant to floor jack the Valiant. After it fell off once, I finally had it. I was able to walk the first block out. Then it got stuck between the two cars. I dropped the Valiant and jacked up the Barracuda which also has a flat tire. After much wrestling, I got the block on its side. I slid it part way out but the path was blocked by the jack. If I let it drop, it would land on the block. I was able to stuff tires under one end of the Barracuda, move the jack, rejack, and slide the block out toward the middle engine bay. Misjudging my size, I backed into a tall set of rack/shelves I have alongside the Barracuda. On the stop shelf was a Charger front bumper. It landed on the small of my back and bounced onto the trunk of the Barracuda. Whew, no damage to the Barracuda. After much more work, I had it out. I wanted the 413 block. It was the 383 block. The second time was just as hard but didn't take so long as I now knew what not to do. It was much harder than I'm describing. My point is, I have learned from these forums that when I have no help and no idea what I'm doing, do it anyway. It was worth it.
