Driveshaft - which end is which?

72 318 8 1/4 Dodge Charger.

I'm fairly certain the tapered end goes to the differential, but my reference pic isn't great and the FSM also shows it going to the transmission. Which is it?

Taper is the rear..

Thanks. Found an old thread about it but not sure if it changed by body style. I'm guessing not, but better to be certain.
