So I solved the kick-down linkage issue. I had to fabricate a new linkage AND relocate it to a lower position on the throttle armature. It does not bind and it has the correct throw and movement so I think it will be ok. Not sure why Holley has that giant hole on that armature and why it can’t easily be removed for more custom work…I guess most people don’t have to go through all this custom stuff? I still need adjust my throttle linkage geometry.
Anyway the kick-down linkage now clears the drop base!
If anyone needs a custom kick-down rod fabricated let me know. BTW the washers are welded in place and I threaded the end so that a nylock can be used.
