Hello guys, I am gathering info for an engine build on my 67 Coronet R/T's 440 and I am wondering about the Victor heads. I think I have read that they are "taller" than stock iron heads as well as the RPM's and will raise the intake. I was wondering exactly how much taller are they, and if used with Holley Street Dominator intake if the carb and factory air cleaner (still wanting a slight bit of factory look to some degree) will clear the stock hood in my 67 Coronet R/T? Sorry, not sure as to what carb I would be using although I am leaning towards doing a 512 stroker build so a Holley 850 or larger will probably be used....and if the Victors are too tall for the factory hood, is there a drop base that could bring the factory air cleaner down enough to work without restricting air flow too much? Right now with a stock intake the dual snorkels are already very close to the hood braces. Would really like to try the Victors if I can get them to fit, but I really don't want to cut holes in my hood. Any thoughts or experience on this?

I am doing close to the same thing you are doing but with an RPM intake, I could not bring myself to hacking my original hood.

I called around this weekend and found a 67 hood at a junk yard for a good price. :icon_winkle:

Good luck on your build!

Yeah....I thought about going that route as well with a different hood and maybe an RO 23 scoop.
