Got this Chinese power antenna super cheap at a swap meet. So cheap, that I took a chance and bought it. Figuring that it was broken. But to my surprise! It works perfectly. But it didn't come with mounting hardware. Does anyone know where I could find the hardware for this Chinese antenna? Not sure what the thread size is either . As you can see in the picture. It measures out weird. Thanks in advance, Tony. 20231115_170544.jpg

You probably need to take it to the next swap meet and trade it for something else :).

The hardware you need will probably be hard to come by. Many power antennas available on E bay, al about $65.00 or so. I bought one a few years ago figuring the one that was installed on my car would eventually fail, and it did this summer. Most all these are made in China, but the one I bought seemed to be of good quality and works great. Looks exactly like this one : https://www.ebay.com/itm/181565640818?hash=item2a4627d072:g:ZOAAAOSwnDZUIJk&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4BY7JB3dLlgOMd8S%2B1pNezGlmLwKGcmK07Wxuml3s%2FWOy%2BbiEG2My5Je21LnytKXYhVPWUNYXI%2BIS3UnlgpUVK462p6vjY6E4KTVoew4LpyLI9l1%2FzhOnv3feRTodZ19wCzsd6JmhuQVcFinHJ3WWGLbVuLYJc7kBPGx%2B43DKWx%2FoLcNQ7zcn00wkYsbYRGVXuz64ISrmJmTEDBBYWCN7xJiLZ%2Bo3MAQaVml3KuflvwtE4PTDIoqugbCj7akm6bghvb1rk411QXwObQFkXSGnCpLOWSoZ9D3SZ4ATv4dsxgI%7Ctkp%3ABFBM7vKT2_pi

Yes, that's the same one I have. Works great! I'll keep looking for the hardware. I don't give up easily. I'll machine one if I have to. Thanks for you help.

Antenna base Update! Machined a s/s nut and the antenna mounted on the car works. But when the mast extends fully, this tube rises up. And when the mast retracts. This tube remains up about 1.5" . I can remove it.

Or push it down. But it will be a pita to push it down every time i use it. Will it hurt to remove the tube? Or does it need to be there ?
