I started changing out the leaf springs on my Roadrunner this weekend, and several months ago I bought a used DeWalt electric impact wrench on craigslist. I had always wanted a pneumatic one, but by the time you buy the wrench, air lines, compressor, etc., forget it. I saw they make electric ones and figured for $50 I would give it a try.
I went to take off the U-bolt nuts and tried using a 1/2" drive first. Nothing. I soaked them in blaster for 15 minutes, nothing. Hit them with the impact wrench, came right off. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the power that thing has.
