Kind of off topic for Mopar, but I know there's a big knowledge base on this site. My best friend has a boat with VDO oil pressure gauges. Unfortunately, when he pulled the engines he discarded the original sending units and replaced them with new ones that were supposed to be compatible.
The gauges (twin engines) read zero with the engines running and we get 4-5 vdc at the gages. Pressure has be confirmed 80 psi at idle with mechanical gages. Generally are sending units matched to the gauge or are they a universal? We have cleaned all the ground connections and terminations. Any ideas would be appreciated.
