I swapped out a push button small input big block trans for a later large input lever shifter trans in my 62savoy. So i could change back later if i wanted, i swapped the trans crossmember 180 degrees, and welded on a new mount to work with the new mount spacing of the later trans.
The 62 K member only has detachable pedestals. the actual engine plates are the same between 62-65. ( Which I have sell if snork needs).
Snork should clarify what mounts he is using ; early vs late, and I hope not trying to use the 318 plates.
Yes the early B cars did position the engine forward compared to 66 and later.
Pretty much same thing on my 64 Ply. With a 'later' 727, mine a 67, also had to modify the trans crossmember mount location...moved it toward the rear by 1/2".
That's using a stock 62-64 BB K-member.
