Henry, I think those numbers should match the end of the VIN number in a car with the original engine. Hopefully someone can confirm that. Good luck.

looks like it came out of a 1969 car built at lynch road plant


9 = 1969
A = lynch rd


all together they are the last eight of the VIN of the car the engine was removed from

Lynch Road built only B bodies for model year 69. That VIN puts it in the range of a very late built (2nd week of July) Belvedere based car. So it likely came out of a Satellite, Road Runner, GTX. What size engine is it?
