Doing some cleanup on my '70 500, getting ready to do motor mounts, and I was looking for stampings on the engine (I've had the car for 13 days so I'm still accumulating details). The front of the block has stamped into it "RM318R 32580817".
I presume that means I have a reman motor - RemanMotor318Rebuilt?
Once I have mounts in hand, I'll check casting numbers - I just haven't gotten under the car yet. No lift in the garage...and at my age, it takes more effort than it used to, to crawl under a car!
Just curious if anyone knows if that stamping sequence does mean it's a remanufactured motor...?
