I have a 65 dodge coronet 500 convertible. I took out the old poly 318 and am building a 408 stroker and was wondering if anyone knows what headers will work. Please let me know-any help would be great!
Big fan of TTI products. If you are on a budget The Jegs or Summit brand work well. I installed the Jegs 555-30080 on my beater 63 Belvedere.I highly recommend using Remflex header gaskets. The ones that came with the headers were crap.
also look at Schumacher Creative Services
(they are not cheap either) http://www.engine-swaps.com
they have some nice stuff too,
especially for newer engine swaps in older cars,
hence the web address
Deet65, There will always be something and again it depends on the brand being used. Also what's under the hood such as A/C,power steering and the like. Also long tube vs short tube.
If the sky is the limit when it comes to budget The easiest fastest headers I ever installed were the TTI small block shorties. The whole exhaust system is pricey.About $1200. But you will never have to deal with it again if you plan on keeping the car.
Just some food for thought.
