Can someone tell me the opening diameter is for the 26" fan shroud (for model year 1969)?

I have an 18" fan and not sure if it will fit.

Part # P2785434

1969 Coronet 383 A/C with 26" radiator has an opening of 20 3/4 Inches approximately. Whats interesting is a 22" roadrunner radiator(70) with shroud is also just over 20". So the shroud opening changed little. just the radiator.

Coincidentally i am researching this as well. There is a H/D shroud P/N P2998326 that has a larger opening to accommodate larger fans. I was set to get this model but Summit advertises the opening as 20 1/2 " Now, I plan on using the 18" Viscous fan kit and i am concerned the 18" fan will be to small for this shroud? From what i understand you want the fan to be within 1/2 " or so from the shroud to maximize its effectiveness so there goes that plan.

The thing that im struggling with is the standard 26" shroud states that it is for 16" fans in the specification? huh....

Id love for someone to chime in with the correct P/N pairing for this application. I called some of the "big box" performance stores and their answer was....."sure, it should work." wtf....

Im just trying to put a shroud on a 26" radiator and pair it with the viscous fan package.......

I'll measure my viscuous fan, but an 18' leaves only one inch on either side at any time. so 18 isn't too small. Keep in mind that engine does lift up sometimes.

That part number is the fan shroud for the 70-73 b body. I wasn't sure if any factors would affect fitment such as engine or shroud offset, or it being 4 not vs 5 bolt. Based on your research, would the 70-73 shroud fit in the 68-69?

My 67' 440 has the 26" radiator, with a opening of 20 1/2. The Blade is viscuous, at 17 1/2 or so. Barely a finger and ahalf between the blade and shroud. the 69 is the same. I don't foresee any problems, as long as the shroud uses the same mounting holes. The 70' I believe has the outlet on the passenger side, but I can't remember. too new for me! HAHA

My shroud is 2998326 with a 20.25 opening and 18 inch fan (radiator is 2998956 inlet pass side outlet drivers side).
This is original 1970 GTX 440+6 with track pack, which gives you the HD cooling.

I ordered the fan shroud (P2785434) off of Summit Racing. I can confirm that the opening is 20-21" (about 20 1/2).
