Broadmoor.jpgWe have The Broadmoor. Way too many photos to post so I'll post one. that's Cheyenne Mountain next to it. The cold war NORAD safe heaven. This is the place where there are no prices on the menu. I had the endangered species platter once. They didn't call it that, I think everything on it has at least one hunting season somewhere. It has won 53 consecutive 5 star awards. At dinner the service people do not speak, unless asked a direct question, they try to be invisible. They are not there to be noticed. Look it up if you have a chance.

Stop by I'll take you to Sunday brunch. Maybe. It might be worth it to see the valet's face with your B- Body.

I would like to see what you recommend in your area. I know there are some fancy-*** places across the US.

One of our attractions in Wisconsin is the House on the Rock. It's kind of an homage to American excess. The creator liked to collect things. If one doll house is nice to have, a thousand would be better. If one decorative egg is worth having, a thousand would be better. You get the idea. Eccentric doesn't begin to describe what this collection is all about. Must be seen in person to believe.

Of course, the real crown jewel of Wisconsin is....

Met my wife at Garden of the Gods...lived there for 6 years, I use to run my Charger up the dirt roads of Cheyenne mountain every weekend.

Like the Broadmoor, most mine are Country Clubs here in Calif.... Olympic Club SF Ca., Harding Park Golf Club SF Ca., Blackhawk Country Club Danville Ca., Granite Bay Golf Folsom Ca., Serrano Eldorado Hills Ca., Oakhurst CC Clayton Ca. {use to be nice before it went public play/dining} Rancho Murieta Country Club Sloughouse Ca. {use to be private now open to public play/dining}, Riviera CC Pacific Palisades Ca., Pebble Beach Spyglass Poppy Hills Cypress Point CC's in Carmel/Monterey areas by the Sea... All pretty hoity toidy/fancy a$$ places... Almost any Hilton or Regency Hotel... Lots more... I've been to many, I've lived at 2 of them Country Club's... Been to many more across the country in my travels, racing or golfing, I prefer the dives, cafes, mom & pops places, little more personal type, out of the way or off the beaten path, more really thou... But love a great well groomed CC/Golf Course too... I can clean up, pretty well if needed too...

Sleeman House, or the Manor, as it has come to be known, near Wellington Street and the Hanlon Parkway, has survived the ravages of time and the wrecking ball of progress. Its iconic exterior mixes classical architecture with neon lights and cinder blocks, and the interior blends master craftsmanship with mirror tiles and stripper poles.

Completed in the summer of 1891, as a sprawling estate on what was then the edge of the new city of Guelph, it was a manifestation of the grand vision of former Guelph mayor and award-winning brewmaster George Sleeman.
