Well Two years ago we got started on a 1970 Plymouth Satellite 4 door.

This is for my son, so we are building it together. Boy was it a lot more than we thought!!

Guy said “it just needs some floor patches!”

Well here we go, this is how it started Nov 2022

Subscribed!

It looks like a car that is in decent shape, so hopefully not too much rust.

That project will keep you busy for awhile. Looks like you have some turn signal issues judging by the added on with unit stuck to the column.

I might be wrong, but I remember seeing the box on the turn signal lever. I think it was a add on cruise control?

I’m going through the project as I have time to post. We started it 2 years ago and are getting close.

Tear down and floor boards….not fun

But I decided to make sub frame connectors. 2”x2” 1-4” wall box tub.

Danger will Robinson… Rust on back window deck.

So there is no company that currently makes a rear deck for the 4 door. So fabrication time. I did my best the process was ugly but the end was great.

Had to fix the trunk opening also.

Trunk floor, well we pulled up the carpet to weld around the back glass and rear deck. So under the carpet was a rusted tank and clear view of the ground.

After cutting it and ordering a new tank our budget was not going as planned. A new trunk floor was too much on top odythe tank , sending unit, strap bolts and neck. So I had a piece of stainless steel. It will never rust again.

We reframed the area and added some tie down eyelets in the trunk. Then we covered the floor with diamond plate EV foam mat. Turned out awesome

After the trunk we moved back to the interior.

Seats from a 2012 Charger. With center console and shifter.

Rear seat had to have a frame fabricated for it.

Sound proof the floors and got new carpet

Engine tear down, when we yanked her out we dropped the transmission off for rebuild. $1200. Came with new TqCVtR.

So during tear down we noticed the timing chain was loose and the cover had 2 bolts broke off in them.

So EBay motors really helped our budget here.

Used but good timing cover, water pump looks great. I found some Mopar Performance valve covers on fb Mktplace for $100. A steal.
Found a airgap intake used but nib for $125.
Headers back to eBay for some Eldelbrock restocked for $160
(We wrapped those with purple fiberglass off Amazon)

Also added a Chevy Alternator.

Ran electric fuel pump and regulator.

So if you have read my bio you would see I used to work on Chinook helicopters in the Army. I may have acquired some fuel line that was to be disposed of and now is on my sons car, with new black and purple ends of course!!

The cream of the crop is the ACES Killshot we slapped on top.

Why'd you use a Chevy alternator?? May I assume that the final color of the car will be Plum Crazy? No, wait, Plymouth was In Violet, LOL!!

Once you find a spot to put the front seats, make some sort of reinforcing setup for it where they go on the floor. The PO of my 65 put buckets in, car was a bench model, but didn't do any backing to the floor. Over time the floor developed tears. Sheet metal doesn't put up with being loaded like that.
