Father/Son 1966 charger 383 4spd build thread

we removed it from the car, its really not that hard, there are a bunch of nuts on the back inside the trunk that you remove then take the bulbs out and the whole assembly just pops out
Pretty easy. Make sure you get the nuts off the studs next to the fender. Everything comes out as a unit.

AAAAAANNNNNDDD we're back! Been a long while since I've updated this thread! We've actually come a far way since the last post! This is in just in the past few weeks since Ive bought two C4 corvettes to have fun with in the summers; but heads came back, weve welded the floorplan back together, put the new cam and heads on, painted the engine, replaced the rusted out cowl area, fixed the inner fenders and upper radiator frame! Going back together perfectly and I'm so happy my measurements on the front frame rails!

Are those new quarters? And happy with your front framerail, what? Looks good so far.

nope! those arent new quarters, just rattle can painted one just to see what the real color of the car is. and ive done all the repairs with it sitting in my driveway, which isnt completely flat so keeping the car straight was VERY important to me. The fact everything lines up perfectly with the new frame rails and the new torsion bar crossmember/ front fenders and cowl area makes me extremely happy my work was done correctly. This is all new to me.

Awesome progress! Our '66 is also a 383/4spd, so I'm looking forward to seeing yours on the road!

Got our new handmade quarter panels in today from Joe Phillips! rear of the car should be much easier to finish now! And no dealing with previous bondo repairs.

And were back! I havent had much time to work on this build since I am now a father to a beautiful baby girl! But today I had some time to get out there and do some cutting to see what we have to deal with behind the rear quarters. Low and behold there were two different fiberglass repairs and a **** bondo job.

Figured out that im gonna need to fabricate about a 3in fix for the driverside wheel well, and the passenger side to be repaired as well. I dont have an english wheel and im not a terribly great metal worker, but im going to have to figure out a way to make that piece curved and flanged the right way! If anyone has any tips for me to get that part fixed it would be great!
