Favorite and least favorite Halloween candy?

Twix,Reeses,Clark bars are up there. The only Shitty chocolate candy is Palmer or Zachary.

I got a total of 8 trick or treaters. The houses are kind of far apart and my neighborhood is a bunch of old farts. I'm one of the younger ones and I turn 68 tomorrow. My son calls my neighborhood a bunch of old people who couldn't afford to buy their houses at today's prices.

We had twenty something, slightly less then usual but there were only three houses on my crescent that gave stuff out so I think a lot bypassed us for easier pickings. However, literally every single kid was in a reasonable costume and was polite and well spoken. One even asked to use our bathroom. Gotta love small towns because I couldn’t imagine that happening in many other places.

nd and was pretty much doomed to either a miserable or short life if we didn’t take her. She is far from aggressive, and loves children even more then other dogs or adults. We dressed her up as a lion angel (long story, even for me) and she greeted every bunch with love and enthusiasm. She even followed one group out to the driveway for more love and tail wagging. Everyone remarked on what a sweet dog she was. Aggressive my ***…

Favorites: pretty much anything chocolate
Least favorites: anything sour

We get kids by the HUNDREDS. For the last few Halloweens our street has been closed for a span of maybe 1/2 mile so the kids can pretty much meander carefree while trick or treating. We didn't remember how much we bought last year but we ran out with a couple of hours to go. Wasn't going to let that happen this year. My wife who was once a single mother has a soft spot for others in that position who don't get home from work until dark and then make the effort for the sake of their child's happiness (it seems I have developed one as well). We went to Costco and bought 80 lbs of bite size! We would have been good with the first 10 bags, the second trip for 4 more bags proved to be unnecessary.

I took the day off and began imbibing at about noon ... my guys were taking bets to see if I'd make it in today.

THANKS for indulging my silly side!

Fixin' to buy candy tomorrow and go to my son's house. Lots of kids there. Just old farts in my neighborhood.

Oh yeah… I forgot, its Halloween  . We live on the main road with lots of cars so we normally DONT get any trick or treaters, although we sat outside last year with a couple of jack-o-lanterns and my tractor decorated… and we did get one kid out of the 30 years my stepdad has been living here. Luckily we had some candy for them. We got candy again this year and we plan to do the same thing tomorrow (tonight?) too, so we will see what happens. Hope everyone stays safe out there

My favorite candy by the way is anything with chocolate, particularly Reese’s take 5 with the pretzel in it

Least favorite is almond joys or anything that is sour patch kids or candy corn.

We absconded from our candy distributing responsibilities this year.

We filled baskets fir our great grand kids then went out for dinner... wife had lobstah and I had salmon.

Boyer makes the best candy, especially nowdays.
Mallo Cups and Clark bars have an ingredient list that is actually candy, and not a crazy list of chemicals like Mars and Hershey(and Reeses if they are a stand alone yet) have.

I don't each much of any candy, and specifically to halloween not really at all. I despise candy corn, maybe some day in the past it was ok but all it is now is food coloring and congealed corn syrup with whatever random shelf life chemicals they added. Yuck.
The peanut butter taffy is great.... if you can find one that is actually peanut butter taffy and not some corn syrup with peanut flour mixed in that was made in April. There is an enormous difference. The good stuff has both a texture and taste that is unmistakably peanut butter. The bad stuff tastes like chemical gum and has a shelf life of 15 years, and usually starts out hard as a stone.

I like Mallo Cups, and I love Clark bars(or the Clark cups) but Clark stuff has gone extinct in NE WI. I used to like Almond Joy but the coconut goop in there now is so sweet it burns my tongue. Of course, so does most Mars and Hershey stuff, and Reeses. If you cut corn syrup out of your diet, it "ruins" a lot of mass marketed big name candy because you will notice the difference in the hyper sweetened stuff they make vs old fashioned stuff.
