Favorite color combos......

MoPars
Turquoises & darker greens are my favorite base colors
black interiors or tops, some white looks good too

the Plymouth (RR) 1968 LL1 Surf Metallic Poly & black
is my all time favorite color scheme
68 RR LL1 10-29-2017 #4 PS frt.JPG

my 1st MoPar of my own a GG1 (Dodges version)
& Black top & guts, stripe of my 1968 Charger R/T, my 1st love
my 68 Barracuda Formula-S 383 4 speed GG1 & black interior
I got from my uncles estate....
& my Mom's 68' Sport Satellite 383 4bbl 4 speed, I got in 1979
in the same GG1 (Dark Racing Green)
with white top & buckets, it was great,
eventually I took the white top off, painted it body color, fill the trim holes etc.
eventually changed the white bucket seat interior, to all black too

B7 Jamaican Blue is another color I really liked, but I never had
69.5 Roadrunner 440-6bbl A12 B7 Jamaica Blue.jpg

Of all my racecars my favorite was
GM, Hugger Orange, (bright orange) with white stripes, lite blue pinstriping
with a lil' gold pearl' over the whole car
Budnicks 23 T Ford Altered Crower Inj. #1.JPG

V2 or K2, Vitamin C Orange, is a favorite from MoPar
69.5 Roadrunner 440-6bbl A12 K2 Vitamin C #1.jpg

I painted my GG1/Black 1968 Charger R/T
in 77' Corvette Bright Yellow, circa 1978-ish
it had a black top, guts & tail stripe
Albeit, much like the Lemon Twist Y1 of 1970-71 era,
it was the worst mistake I ever did,
most people seemed to like it, but I never did...
But as soon as I pulled the paper & taping off;
my 1st impression
I thought "what a huge mistake", I ruined it...
sorry no photos

Strangely enough, I don't like yellows
the piss yella' from 1969 Y2 Sunfire Yellow, was my least favorite
albeit', I loved that car, 69 RR str-14 6bbl 4 speed I had it for many years...
I didn't ever like that color

another of my favorites is from Chevy
British Green, (darker green) the Baldwin Motion 69 Vette was cool as hell
69 Corvette L88 hood side pipes Baldwin Motion & spoked mags - British Green.jpg

from Ford I think it was a toss up
68 Mustang GT 390 like in Bullitt, Dark Highland Green
or the 1969-70 Shelby GT-350 in Aqua Blue (turquoise) & white
70 Mustang Shelby GT-350 - Aqua Blue.jpg

the 999 coded Ralley Green is cool too

Top of my list is black with white interior and stripes if it had them...my cousin had a chevelle with just such a color combo when we were younger and I always loved it.
Love black with red too..interior other than black on a black car gives great contrast IMO and makes it 'pop'.
There's others, such as the Mopar turquoises and blues with blue or white insides that I also like....for a black interior car red/yellow/orange paint is a great classic look.

Was thinking of a color change...but might stay with white

My 62 was white, a very chalky white, when I got it. Has a blue interior, so I went with China blue on the outside.
Nothing wrong with white, if you like it, but if you'd rather have something else..... put something else on it. (Some awfully beautiful blue/grays out there, but I would choose whatever compliments the interior color.)

My seats and door panels are Coccoa/ Rose not the fancy looking interior...but in good shape

Just my worthless opinion, but.....
With that nice interior, I'd go with a medium tan exterior, with a white roof/belt line at the top of the doors.
Any of the 62 browns would work too.
Edit: weren't you gonna shoot it 62 luminous brown? I just looked at a 62 paint chart, that would be an excellent choice! (Imo). I'd still go with a white roof.

Sorry, just looked again, you've got a Fury. You have stainless trim at the top of the doors, no place for a detail paint like my savoy.
Still, stand by my choice.
Funny thing. I know where there is a white 62 bel wagon sitting on four flat wide whites, I'd love to have. "Grandpa's car, gonna fix it up someday".

I've been trying to pick a color/colors for over 2 yrs ( I can not decide, and the cost of paint/ limited cash flow does not help ) ...I need to get engine bay painted, so I can put engine back together and get this car mobile again. Thanks for all of you replys to my endless questions.

I like GG1 and LL1. Found out that 67 GG1 is different from 68.

love my Bee plum crazy white top with white interior , it could just be me though
In my opinion no one in the world could get away with that combination except Mopar. I like it, a lot!!!

I’m partial to these colors for some reason.

White is my go to color on most of my new cars or trucks. These old cars, not as much. My car, after it was gone through went white with blue interior. The white was clean, but the interior in blue was very nice for a change. I still liked the combination

White in my part of AZ is very popular. What I don't understand is how many black cars there are here. Who wants a black car in 115° heat? (I've seen 123 in the shade on the back porch.)

I've had two black trucks, many years ago. Besides the heat issue, you have a color that shows everything from dust, smudges, scratches and the sun liking to eat the finish. It's not worth it to me, too much babysitting.

I still have two black cars.(49 plymouth business coupe, and a 55 belair 2d hdtp). At one time, all three of my drivers were black. I'll NEVER buy another black car, no matter how good the deal might be.

In my book it depends very
much on the era the car was
built. Not a blue or gold fan,
nor any of the neutral colors.
be them tan, green, beige.
Mopar pushed the limits for
colors as most all were in
your face bold.
The nicest looking vehicle
I've owned was a pine green
very fine metal flake with a
black/grey interior.
