I wonder if that was what was making everything slow or slower at a min.
even with a Gold Membership, stuff was acting weird & especially slow/er
longer loading times, I have the fastest internet connection I can get
& I never really noticed prior, until it was affecting US here for a while...
I brought it up with a mod, he noticed it too...
Seemed better now, but was crazy for a week or so...
now it's not 'save' the post I just did, when I hit the button
4th time was a charm,
something is going on with site software, not my end either

There were AI bots scanning the sites and the server for information. That slows the sites down. Joey figured how to somehow block them and the sites have been faster since.
Interesting how most issues here can be fixed on the members computer.

The ads are really aggressive now. Tom did it to moparts for awhile but seems to have backed off.
No idea on user base comparison but hellcat.org seems to have a lot of traffic and it's ads are a lot less intrusive.

It amazes me how people complain about ads but don’t take any responsibility on their own to block them. Ads have gotten more aggressive over time at getting past ad blockers, but there are still a lot of good free ad blockers that keep up. It’s not just this site it’s the whole internet.

AI/bots/spiders/crawlers......research the names. Last time I did, they were very much all the same but just a different period.
I must be really golden.....but did experience slow loading and other issues like triplicate postings when hitting the 'post reply' button once and not being able to use the 'like' and 'smiles' buttons. It seems to be better now but it also seems that things got weird after the last 'upgrade'.....

I’ve been in some offices where they call it (phonetically)eye dee eye oh tee error. They didn’t hold back…….when complaining behind people’s backs
