I bought these some time ago figuring the steel core might provide better stability with the windage tray and double gaskets. Also I’ve used one of those blue silicon rubber 727 pan gaskets on my GTX and it has sealed good without the RTV mess. Can’t find much on install suggestions for the 1834s such as RTV or no RTV. Plan to use some at timing chain cover and rear seal retainer joints regardless. Other than that I would prefer to use minimal RTV just because of the inevitable disassembly cleanup work in the future.

Any experiences?
