Fiberglass bulge hood?

If you can get a new hingeable hood for $400 -$500, you should call the maker and ask a lot of questions. You have a rather large hood. Also ask about shipping prices.
 
I have a AAR fiberglass hood for my 71 runner, not bad, the part i didn't like is where the hinge bolts to, the nuts in the hood were glassed in crooked on the one side, and sometimes i'm afraid I'll overtighten the bolts too much and break them off inside the hood, what do you do then? I try not to think of this :)
You cut open the area and re-glass the nuts back in right then glass up the access hole you cut. I haven't done a lot of glass work but what little I've done has been fairly easy. It's just a bit messy....
 
The online prices aren't the real prices when you actually call the companies. I previously priced one from VFN, in my home state, nearly $800 to me, and one from Show cars, basically $1000
 
If you think about the asking price is low, because its a low quality item. In the end, you need to invest the selling price and then some in an attempt to match an original bulge hood. Keep looking and post an thread from time to time
