We have lift off. Fixed the missing volts problem. Faulty key switch in the crank position, but okay to turn on everything else. New PerTronix ignition, new cam and lifters and springs, 8 new valves, and 16 valve guide seals. New gaskets.
Poured some petrol down the two vent holes, crank crank and fire. Just like Doug said. Needed to add more petrol and then the fuel pump took over. Have a miss fire possibly from a bad plug cap. Letting the mighty 318 cool down, then will add some more water to the radiator. Have an oil leak from the small cap that covers the clip in the aft end of the 727. Might just need to be tightened a bit. Next is the brakes, got a new master cylinder, then a test drive. Hope the 727 works as planned. Almost forgot. We are not charging. Maybe I removed too many wyres.

Sounds like your moving forward,

Thank you men.
Found the cause of the misfire. Do not want to mention any names, but someone crossed two plug wyres. Do not need that on my resume. Oil leak from the piece screwed in to the back of the block, that goes to the gauge, or possibly from under the intake manifold. Running cooler with a bunch more water in the radiator. Fifty oil pressure when warm.
Will work on a bunch of other things tomorrow. Brakes would be nice.

Many here should take notice. This project was taken on without Unkle Krusty ever doing many of these tasks. It was done without special tools. Using ideas outside the box. Questions were asked and knowledge was gained. He didn't give up. In the end it was a succesful project. Good job
Doug

Congratulations!

Every car guy eventually gets a plug wire crossed at some point. Someone once said, if you don't make a mistake once and a while, you aren't doing anything.

Doug is right. Congratulations Uncle Krusty!!
We get all caught up in our restorations and doing it all "correct".
I'm guilty of overthinking sometimes, it's called analysis paralysis.
Sometimes you just have to be 18 again, and rip into it.
