Firm Feel K-Frame Stiffening Kit

Anybody know of another vendor selling a similar kit to FF's? I want all the small metal cutouts, but not their cheezy skid plate. They wont sell the kit without the plate and I think $85. plus shipping is outrageous for what you get.

Are you able to fab your own pieces? Looks like a lot of welding but, some cardboard templates would get you the reinforcing pieces, even if someone else cut them out.
