found this in a box.....from 1989.....I was 24

I was looking for an off road toy and met "Mike"

he had a poster of a green 68 GTX on the wall in his garage.

I said, "dude, that's my car!"....... we hit it off and partnered up :drinks:

we quickly outgrew the shop we were renting and went our separate ways business wise ........

Mike became the local mud truck guru, and I stuck with cars

he's still one of my best friends to this day......... everyone knows Mike as "M&M", he named me "Eldubb" (another story) and it stuck

good times!!!

matter of fact, a couple months back I told the wife....... "if I drop over dead, give the car to Mike. He's the only one who would put it together, and he'd never sell it".

Why did it have to be green, couldn't it have been red....... LOL ........... Love a good story, well done and good for you, be proud!!!

I was looking at a red challenger 70 V code auto...... trans was out and couldn't hear it run......... dude was asking 2500

I would have bought it, but I do not like red...... while that was going on, My GTX popped up in the paper....... driven daily, asking 1200; I drove it home for 900........and it was green! :bananadance:

You could of said red was not on the top of your list :BangHead::poke:

I didn't like that my 70 was originally green, but I decided almost grudgingly to repaint it the original color once I found a perfect example on the B pillar. Now I love it! Us green guys will stick together! :bananadance:

well, not everyone likes green...... so there's that :)
Green, what shade of green. Like red, some work, some don't. I have to see the car and like the car, then we'll talk about how the color looks. I've owned a few green cars and I'm over it.......... Red will work, till one day I wake up and it's time.

burgandy metallic, black cherry, ect. is actually good with me.......it's the bright, solid reds that I don't like

I have a dark (solid) red AMX with a dark red (maroon) interior....... Too much for me; I'm gonna paint it silver, or perhaps white

I had a burgundy car and it looked like it had a bit of chocolate in it, in certain lighting. I liked it a lot.

I'm a man with many hats. One car has no chrome, tinted windows and always a 2 inch drop. All my cars had 17 inch chrome wheels. The Coronet has a lot of trim and I like chrome wheel well lip molding. A must for me on these older cars.
