Hey guys, this is a great discussion. I "reopened" this post because it hit the other blog and I couldn't get registered there to discuss, so I started it here. 69Coronetrt, did you read the other blogs new owner about the car? "Everything suggests it's a real Superbee..." The date code numbers he found were all in 67 so it is definitely a fake. Now that is done, does anyone have any information about my REAL 1st super bee out of the LA plant? I will start a new thread.

fc7_plumcrazy, I am 1000% sure that it is not an August of 1967 car...1000% sure. Superbees were not a thought until AFTER the Roadrunner. So, how would you explain that serial number and/or sequence number?

Hey man...If your math is any indication of your skills, I'd be a little worried. One thousand percent? You DO know that is impossible, right?

Yes. I saw the thread and stayed out of it.

The “maybe...could be....what about.....” posters get i the way of people trying to determine facts and discuss what is known and documented or provable.

If you want to prove a unicorn, (remember the 70 6bbl with a/c Charger everyone fawned over that was later, and easily, proven to be a fraud?) you better bring a big bag of sparkle with it.

It is not easy for you , Dan P., Barry W. and many others including me to try to tell the truth sometimes because you need a thick skin. But if something goes to far.......there is always the risk of new person getting burned.

In this case the interested german buyer of the car in august 2018 mentioned on moparts contacted me in germany and I told him my opinion of a august 1967 buillt Bee.

I'm the current owner and I just found this thread. I'm so grateful to all of the "experts" here who have selflessly dedicated their time to being completely honest with regards to their opinion of the car. Perhaps rather than asking that someone have a "thick skin" when dealing with issues like this, you should try to approach the situation as if you were the one who was potentially duped into buying a car the previous owner had knowledge about and didn't disclose. I am new to Mopars relatively, and beyond running the numbers through a VIN decoder, I had no idea that this would be an issue among the Mopar community. I'm still trying to determine the car's history, but as for the arrogance I've seen on this site and others like it, I can assure you this will be my last Mopar. I'm currently selling the car as a clone (despite not knowing it's full history) for a huge loss....is that what you all want to hear? I have over $35k invested in the car (which until the German who was "interested" in it alerted me to the discrepancy) I had no idea or reason to believe wasn't a real Super Bee. I spoke with the owner at the time, who was the OP in this post, and of course he didn't mention any of this.....so go ahead, tell me "it pays to do research" or spout whatever other rhetorical bullshit you care to. I'm done with people like you, and I wish Barrett Jackson hadn't spawned so many car aficionados who seem to congregate in places like this on the interwebs to spout their vast knowledge of the universe.
