First time to turn on the heater in the house today....

It’s dropping into the 40s over here at night now, I’ve been using the heater a bit for a couple of weeks now but I always gripe about about the bills. I guess getting sick is more expensive tho.
The room I’m in as I write this is 67.7 which is chilly for me but I’m about to head to my bedroom which is in the warmer section of the house.

House is all electric but have a fireplace too. Been while since using it though. Used to keep a stash of firewood in case the power goes out but not doing that this year. Used to have gas up to the front of the shop for heat out there but the gas company got pissy with me being a 'seasonal' customer and started charging too much to turn off the gas in the summer and the bill for just being hooked up got too high so I told them to just come and pull the freaking meter. Now I heat the shop with propane. The X used to keep me pretty busy on the firewood. One winter she went though 4 cords! That's a LOT for here. That's when I made her go with me to 'gather' the stuff and she quit having a roaring fire all the time. lol
I think us canadians have some of the misconception about US that americans do about canada! When i think of Texas I think always Hot! MY friend from texas was chopping ice off his swimming pool a couple years ago, very enlightening! were pretty cool here this week 5F low so far and predicted much colder thursday night! 100 miles north of Toronto! Bay out front is frozen if this keeps up ice huts will be going out by christmas!

Wife tells me 48 in Phoenix tonight. I’m is shenzhen China in the 70’s but head to India tomorrow where it will be 80. Think I’ll wear a short sleeve.

Got into upper 40s last nite here

And is supposed to be upper 60s and sunny today.

I might have to put a sweat shirt on to hang outdoor Christmas lights today
