I ran into one of those guys a couple years ago at a truck shop. He was dead serious. After I listened to 20 mins of him trying to convince me of the earth being flat, the moon landing was a hoax and Kennedy wasn’t dead I finally got him to hush and let me talk. So I asked him, if I am holding a flat window pane perfectly level in my left and and pour water on to the top of it with my right hand what will the water do? He thought and said “run off”. I said “Then if the earth is flat why don’t the oceans run off?”

Sadly, he was SERIOUS. He doesn't have the intellectual ability for sarcasm. He actually thought an island could tip over.
