Hey Guys I Need To Replace My Wilwood Master Cylinder With a Stock Style Master Cylinder And Flush Out The Dot 5 Fluid I Originally Put In. Its Recommended I Use Dot 3 or 4. just Wondering How I Flush The Brake System? Thank You
I'd call up Cas and ask him if it's alright to use the Dot 5.. and I don't see why it wouldn't be. I'd never go back to paint removing brake fluid when you're already running Dot 5
You can use a mitivac vacuum pump or a power flush machine. I have both, both will do the job. Vacuum will tale longer. I like the vacuum for pulling the old stuff out and pressure for pushing the new through the system.
Well then you haven't paid attention.. Denatured Alcohol is & has been the recommended flushing solvent for brake systems since the fifties... It doesn't effect rubber, it breaks down sludge that accumulates in brake systems & it doesn't react with brake fluid...
Denatured alcohol works great . Just be sure to flush system . Why are you taking the Wilwood master cylinder out and replacing it with a stock one . Petal to hard or to soft ?
