Ford's answer to the Hellcat?

image.jpg

Further off course, SON of a...now Honda...never mind. This is just more blather from the local lib rag murky news.

I really don't understand your need to knock the Mopars??? I really think a lot of us get the fact that they're not the greatest, but we like them. Why do you feel the need to go on a Mopar forum & knock the cars?

Where exactly did I knock the Challenger in this thread? I'm confused...I was ribbing you guys about Petty, but I'm pretty sure I've been nothing but objective in my posts. Or is it because I'm not grossly impressed by it or expressing my undying love, it's concluded that I'm 'knocking' it?

Well, as per FMC's direction, it looks like a 1969 Mustang. :)

Again, you're only partially correct. Per FMC's direction, it now looks like a 2015.:headbang:

Thanks for deflecting, btw. I can see now that I can't get a legit answer out of you.

driving that mustang of yours must give you a sore ***, or is that from something else?

What are you, 13? Shush...the grown ups are trying to have a conversation...

If that's the case how are you able to even log in?

You have been nothing but an anti mopar guy on this site why you have not been banned yet I can figure out, other than the mods are just too nice. Why don't you do us all a favor and get the f#$k outa here?

PS I will not be able to see your response since you are on my ignore list now lol which is a great feature btw.

Once again I'll ask where I made any disparaging remarks in this thread about the new Challenger? No one has pointed it out to me yet...please show me. Two people have said it, it must be obvious...

...still waiting...

Putting me on your ignore list is absolutely fine. Going through life not listening to those whose opinions you don't agree w/ is an awesome way to grow as an individual.

Oh for the love of christ. None of this really matters. New cars today are like any other technology. Computers, smart phones or whatever. Whats new and hot today is old news in 6 months to a year. Then something else will be new and hot. They are disposable. I agree with others who say the money is better spent on a timeless classic. Thats why i said in another thread to hell with the body. Just want the drivetrain. Doesn't matter if the body is better, stronger or safer. I really dont foresee these things being sought after and restored in the future either.

Well good for Ford if they actually do this, even though the show car is ancient history by now. One note:

As if this is what an engine bay would look like in 2025! HAHAHAHA, the only part of this that would remain visible under all the emissions and CPU's would be the little placard/signage on top of the intake. Everything else will get completely buried under a pile of "modern tech".

I would also like to point out that, as is tradition on the internet for... since it was invented, a pro-Ford forum thread devolved into butthurt feelings because people that actually, genuinely support Ford can't stomach the idea a different brand could also do something good, much less better, then their precious Ford. Even when it is not stated out loud, the undertone exists and it turns into an epeen fight on the down low with bickering and name calling.

It has been that way with Ford for decades now.
Personally, I think it is great if any manufacturer decides to do something with a V8 and big HP, because we are fighting for our performance lives right now. But I left the Ford wagon 30 years ago. The 5.0 from the late 80's and early 90's was the last time they made a performance car that wasn't considered luxury/premium/niche for market/pricing. Mustang used to be in the bottom 1/3 even with a V8 for price in their lineup, a cheap, fun, snarly runabout with a 5 speed. They have been acting like it is a Corvette killer for a while now and trying to price it that way. They are almost as out of touch with USA as the Euro manufacturers, nipping at their heals.
