Well, pictures of pictures. I bought this car in Clermont Co. OH on the eve of The first Gulf War. August 1990. I paid $1000 for it which was a pretty penny for a 17 year old. Car was an H code HP 383 column auto with 8.75 rear and sure grip 3.91. Originally A4 silver, black interior, buckets with buddy seat. Came with a sweet chrome barefoot pedal on the high/low switch.

It had plenty of bondo, rear window was held in with caulk and the windshield leaked like a sieve. I sanded what I could, replaced the floorpan, recovered the front seats, new carpet. I was poor without tools so not much else was done. Had Maaco paint it and had someone put a new vinyl top on. Did random things like add back the remote mirror and pass side mirror, got all the lights working, etc.

Underside of roof was cherry that I remember. I painted the stripe and added the R/T emblem front, rear emblem was in the trunk when I sold it. Kind of miss it but boy did it leak. ..and it ran like a scalded dog. Sucked in the winter.

Very cool. I had looked at a 1970 Roadrunner a month before up in Madera. 440 4 speed (non original) with airgrabber hood but it was in worse shape body wise. On the test drive I thought I was going to die as he was banging through the gears. Only wanted $1200........if only I knew.
