I've always preferred the DynoMax sound myself, but as long as these Flowmaster-looking things on Fred don't burn out, I ain't replacin'... good Lord though, that DRONE!!!
I do too, from other people's cars. I had a pair on my car and loved them for driving around the neighborhood and WOT blasts. Long trips? No.
This is one place that my hearing loss works to my benefit. I have had hearing aids for years, the set I have now are adjustable. I can tune out the drone.
I have a set of Dyno Max turbos on my 383, stock HP manifolds, 2 1/2 pipes running straight out the back I love the sound but I do get a drone about 50 mph at 2,000 rpm. Solution?,,,, GO FASTER!!!!!
I got a pair of Spintech street mufflers (3000 series) and really like them. They are well made and heavy gauge steel. Far and away more sturdy than the flow masters that came off. just another option to consider.
Well I ordered a pair of summits 2 chamber flow master knock offs. Had to add a set of brake shoes and a tee shirt to get to $ 100 and get that free shipping lol. The comments / reviews on the muffs were loud and drone, they should be perfect.
