Just an FYI, at the bend on the sway bar, there are two nuts and bolts visible. Those holes are already in the K frame. The only fabrication you have to do is drilling one 9/16 hole on the front side of each LCA.Here are a couple. Will try for better ones later.View attachment 579781 View attachment 579782
No problem. Their instructions will say to use a 17/32 drill bit. I couldn't find a titanium one anywhere and they said 9/16 is fine. Also, the one tricky part is getting the top nut started on the long bolt that connects the sway arm to the mounting plate. With all of the washers and bushings, you can't get a thread high enough to start it. I put a small jack underneath the bolt head and jacked it up a little. That pushes the arm and bolt up and exposes enough thread to get it started.Hellwig on the way ! Hopefully it'll be here by the weekend.
Thanks for the help
I'm sure the FirmFeel is a great unit, but it's almost double the cost of the Addco, or Hellwig unit. This is just a street/daily car, and a rusted POS at that. Trying to limit being upside down in it.
Then you need to re-think things. These cars and parts are NOT cheap. If you're looking at the cheapest way possible, without headaches with parts, then sell the car and go Chinese/Japanese route.

Do the instructions recommend a little welding to reinforce the bolted on brackets? Would not be a bad idea (if one knew how to weld-I don't).
Why are you getting butt-hurt just because i didn't buy the parts you did for YOUR car ? It's my car, i can build it the way it want. You build yours, and i'll build mine, and i won't try to belittle you for it.
If you don't understand the post, it's on you, not me. No, I'm not "butt-hurt" but it sure does amazes me when members come on here, ask for recommendations/advice. It's when these members takes a total different route, then come back on here and give a sobbing story about either price, delivery, fitment, something. Yes, it's your car just as is mine. Then don't come on here and expect a tissue or something when things don't go the way you or anyone wanted. Glad you got what you need, finally
