[/QUOThanks for the pic I have the ivr3 and already bent the arm just wasn’t sure we’re exactly to screw it down. Greatly appreciate the pic
I purchased from the site and on his site the directions show and say to bend armGood luck.
Thanks my red bearded brother
Yes I have installed many of these limiters on the clusters., Todd with Todds Restorations, you have to open the fuel gauge and disable the points limiter. put gauge back together, mount gauge back in housing, install ivr3 where the capacitor would go that you are going to eliminate, run a wire from the single terminal on the ivr3 to the 3rd stud or the one closest to the speedometer, connect a wire from the dual terminal on the ivr3 to the center stud on the gauge. thats all there is to it. you can pm me for help or questions. Todd at Todds Restorations., all I do is restore 66/67 clusters, clocks, shift indicators, hl motors, and specialize in the electrical system.
Does this look correct? No. You do not use a wire to the 12v stud from the dual terminal You disconnected the points. Why do you need 12v in. The gauges run off say 5 to 6 volts. Hence the new limiter. It's a one wire hook up
I’m no good with electrical so was informed to do it this way if you look back at previous post on this threadNo. You do not use a wire to the 12v stud from the dual terminal You disconnected the points. That is a new one for me too Todd. Thanks. So the picture I sent is an old design and the one you sent is the new one?No. You do not use a wire to the 12v stud from the dual terminal You disconnected the points. Why do you need 12v in. Sorry brother red. That was a picture Todd sent me a while back when we were going back in forth on the correct way to do this after not liking what was shown on a 66-67 Charger website.I’m no good with electrical so was informed to do it this way if you look back at previous post on this thread
All good brother I’m really dumb when it comes to this stuff so I appreciate any help I get. I don’t think anyone would purposely steer me wrong on this site.Sorry brother red.
