Garage stench after parking car - does non-ethanol help?

Several years ago on a fuel vapor lock/boiling discussion here, one of the Cal gents mentioned that the then current pump fuel 2016?, had a boiling point of 150*. Think about that. What do you imagine the underhood temps are, along with coolant temp/airflow etc, when it's running and then shut off? And the ethanol added fuel seem to generate quite a bit more vapor due to that than non.

The fuel does seem to boil easily here, it causes hot start issues with my Ranchero and with my old Vette before I swapped it to EFI. So far the Coronet seems ok probably due to a lot of air flow compared to the other cars.

Answer to your question, no, switching non-ethonal fuel will not stop the smell. Most of the answers here are what guys do to work around that.

I posted a similar response a few years ago in another thread -- Because of the open tank vents on pre-73? cars, I put a carbon canister on the floor plugged into the two tank vents, and garage no longer stinks like lawn mowers from the car. I disconnect the tank vent tube hoses at tank and new hoses to a y connector and that to a carbon canister tank vent input for long storage. I hook it back up when I plan on driving it. I've been doing this for about six years on different cars. Someday I might retrofit a car to have a carbon canister but I can't bring myself to do it and its a 5 minute fix to put back to stock. There is the smell from the carb bowl as well, but that goes away after a few hours. The big smell is the tank vents. Did I ever notice this back in the day with car ports and open parking lots? Nope. Anyway, works for me, but recently I only plug in the canister during the winter season.
