That is sweet!!

Oh, I did my time with air cooled and I like them best when they belong to someone else! The EMPI's are nice and the type III is overall much better than the bug. Be easy on it because if you drive it too hard the heads will start to fall off!! Also an early Porsche 911 engine will bolt up to that transaxle, but then you loose your flat floor.

Oil price is on the rise, the whole world is feeling it.

I remember filling my car up for $28 - back in about 1992 that is.

$3.07/gal = 81c/litre

Price here is $1.35/litre, we pay a shiteload of tax on gas....

Don't even ask what fuel costs in UK or Europe. That's why everyone is scrambling towards diesels....

I forgot to say, I love your Dub. I heard someone the other day call a VW beetle a "Hitler's Hotrod"

Sweet vw! Never seen one of those. I've always wanted a vw perferbly a bug, After seeing two at the track one night, one had a 454 (last car you expected to come around the corner was this bug) And the other had a vw motor in it the one with the vw motor was buncing off the rear bumper half way down the 1/4mile. lol
Anyways have fun!

In Sweden we now pay $8 gallon rocknroll :icon_hang::icon_hang::icon_hang:

YOW! that is crazy!, nice way to keep things in perspective. It's been hovering just above $3.07 here in Detroit.
Nice find Troy! I like it.

What model is that?? I had a 412 (I think?) wagon many moons ago. One of several VWs from way back. It was an automatic and I recall it having a surprising amount of get up and go. Also had the gas heater which was kind of neat. You could go out and turn the heater on without the car running to warm it up.
