The old gas tank is junk and I will be in the market for a new one. What do you guys do with the old one?

Scrap, target practice, trash it, whatever.

Flush it out with water and detergent, then scrap it.

Ask Bernie Sanders, he said GLOBAL WARMING HAS CAUSED ISIS........who cares

Make garage art out of it and sell it someone will buy it

What few of them we get, We mash them flat with the tractor and toss on the scrap steel pile.

Save the lock ring and brass float if its good.

In my area they won't take a gas tank due to the risks associated with them.

So I let my old tank sit around awhile, then I cleaned it to be 100% sure there were no fumes, and then I cut it up into smaller metal pieces. Then I was able to put them in the trash and get rid of it...

Someone not taking it is what I am worried about.

I would contact you local Junkyard and ask them if they will take it since they scrap hundreds of them a year.

flush it clean and get a buddy with a truck to run it over a few times and flatten it ,or a sledgehammer, scrap it
