It's time of year again (we had some brief, recent rains this month) and these pesky tiny flies (don't know if they are house flies or not) keep landing on my eyelashes and lips when I'm outside. When they near the ear canal, I can hear an irritating high-pitched buzz. I wish they would just leave me alone.

We call them gnats around these parts. Annoying as hell this time of year when it is hot and humid.

Best way to keep them out of your face is unzip your fly or cut a hole in the seat of your pants
