Holy thread resurrection Batman ! Yes we’re back for more I have no idea what I’m doing, I don’t have the right tools, but I have a dream and I’m going to make things happen , because there’s no rules (just a couple of possible legal issues,) with having fun!
And with that on to the next step in bringing back the street freak style / fulfilling my 5 year old dream . We have the big tires, the back end in the air , and some crazy paint , but what’s missing ? A hemi hood scoop ! Because it looks cool ! Now this year I’ve worked insane hours , which means this has been dragging on for months, but I’m finally a point I can start posting , and hopefully work on this more
So, the first part was in February I found a satellite hood for $50, 1 big dent and a little surface rust but it was perfect. Some time after that I bought the cheapest hemi scoop I could find, which wasn’t too bad of a purchase, a little wavy and a few scratches but oh well it can be fixed. And then in June with some fantastic help from
@5.7 hemi , yes I am making sure the hate mail comes to you too! We cut a nice hole in the fairly nice satellite hood. Some time after that it went back to my house where I did the little things to make the big difference. I glued in a piece of 1/8 x 1 aluminum to add some strength to the front, I’ll glass it in later for even more strength , and then cut down some 1/4” brake line as spacers and support for the 10/32 screws. And now it’s together and ready for body work and paint , and whoever is interested has a wall of text to read !
