I recently had one of those milestone birthdays. To celebrate, I bought myself a gas pump project. Here's before and after of my Tokheim 39 short gas pump.

I completely disassembled it, had it sandblasted (7 coats of paint were removed) body work done and then repainted by a body shop. Then I rewired the AC on the pump, replaced missing and broken items, reassembled it and below is the way it looks today.

Paul, that was always my favorite gas back in the seventies. I'd stop by my local station on the way to the track, in my '64 Dodge, and fill her up with Texaco Fire Chief. It was like an instant tuneup and it always smelled so good!
