My first car back in '87 was a '67 Belvedere II. It was B5 blue, black vinyl top, silver special interior, factory 383 4 barrel automatic car with air conditioning. The guy who I bought it off of told me that it was a southern California car. I know that it was in fact built at the Los Angeles plant. This emblem was in the middle of the dash right above the A/C vents. Even back then I noticed that none of the other '67 B bodies that I looked at had this emblem. To this day, I have never seen another one. I sold the car to my brother and he ended up totaling it back then. Before the car went to the scrapper, he removed the emblem and gave it to me.
My question is: has anyone seen this emblem on a '67 B body, and can anyone tell me if it was part of some option or trim package?
