My 67 satellite headlights do not turn on when I pull the switch, but if I hit the dimmer switch all 4 light up. Any ideas? thanks in advance

Low beam side is burnt out, on the dimmer switch possibly... just a guess

or bad wire connection possibly too

Got the same thing going on sometimes. My guess is the dimmer switch.

I replaced the dimmer switch and same results. Parking lights do come on when I pull the switch, but low beams still won't work. All 4 headlights do light up when I press the dimmer switch. Checked ground and it's OK. Any Ideas??????

Did you take out a low beam headlight and test by applying 12 volts? It does have 3 prongs, one is the ground and the other 2 is for low and high beam. If the headlight is good you will have to start checking for voltage at different points.

I've found the connection at the dimmer switch bad before. Make sure the plug is good and making contact with all the spades.

thanks for the diagrams

thanks for the diagrams. It will be a big help in the next few days.

Have heard high beam switch will cause this, believe power routes through the dimmer then to head lights and high beam switch if any one of those are shorted would cause similar reaction, will get you the wiring diagram shortly.

Looks like the hot runs through the high beam switch first before going to the headlights so either headlight switch or high beam switch is bad
