Getting ready to do an HEI conversion on my 1965 Dodge Coronet the shop where I purchased my distributor and coil in a package deal told me that I am able to remove the ballast resistor. Because the new coil is internally resisted. Now here is my question if I remove the resistor will I mess any thing up with the rest of the wiring system because there are 2 wires coming in and two wires going out. Or would I gust be better off running a new 12 volt source to the distributor.

No, the HEI coil requires a full 12v, and if you run a ballast your HEI coil will only receive around 8v or so, you'll need to install "jumper" wires on the wires going to the ballast.
as long as you install the HEI correctly, you won't mess anything up.

I've had my HEI in for about 3 yrs...no problems with it or the wiring yet. The resistor cuts voltage to the coil in "run", it doesn't effect the other electrical appliances in the car, which is what I think you were asking about.
