Help me with the parking brake hook

I need one last hook to support the center of the parking brake cable where it hangs down near the transmission crossmember. I will probably raise the cable up so it lays above the exhaust but the problem is that the only piece I have left over (see first Photo) looks nothing like the much longer hook pictured in the service manual diagram (see diagram closeup for R & W models). Is the hook the same for small block 904 and big block 727? Anyone with a 72 Satellite 318 know what I am talking about? Thank you.

My cable is routed above the exhaust. The U shaped cable hook goes on top of the rear of the transmission mount /cross-member with the U pointing down towards the ground. Looks like there may be a slot for it. I hope this description helps!
 
That's it, goes into the hole on the bottom of the crossmember. Cable normally routes on top of the exhaust pipes.

Do you have a picture of it? I don't think I have that piece on mine.
