Help with 440/purpleshaft/Holley

I have stock jets on the 3310 with a complete rebuild kit. I have a comp .545 cam but got rid of the Pertronix vacuum distributor and went with the MSD and 6 AL box. Got the idle I wanted:

Oh man, I LOVE your ride. Very well done, sir!
That's what they look like all gussied up, eh? :-)

Yeah, the MP electronic on this one just doesn't do anything particularly well. Way too much vacuum advance, even with initial timing only like 5 degrees advanced from stock. It actually runs/takes throttle better with it disconnected.

I bought this 3310 new (I always used them decades ago on 440's - they really like 'em) and discovered it had 70 jets in it from Holley. Weird. Supposed to have 72's. I still have the 75's I put in it, but they're too much I think. Dang thing will run you out of the shop idling, even with the mixture 1.5 turns out.
Guess I can put the stock 65 power valve back in it too now.
