As 62max has shown, the hemi orange has a little more "red" to it than the brighter vitamin c orange.

Hemi Orange / Tor. Red Irid. have real fine or pearl metal flakes in it? Or is it just a solid color?

Hemi orange is on the engines but the actual color formulation varied from year to year.

V2 paint code is a orange pearl! Hemi engine orange is a solid orange or in early years was called performance orange. You found performance orange not only on hemis,but on special order performance engines! 440 six packs and such!

Thanks and that is good to know because I used to be a Dupont jobber and I used to mix alot of different colors and I don't recall ever adding any type of pearl, fine alum. metal flake, etc. into the ordered paint for Hemi Orange / Tor. Red Irid. But now I know and most likely that will be the color I'll be going with as my original color. There is an area next to the pillar under the chrome drip rail molding that still has it's original gloss on the paint and that is the sample I'll be going with when making it's color for final touch.
