Anybody hear of a Hemi (only) transmission mount? I’ve seen some discussion about a yellow painted mount on eBay for $600. (Ha). I was at Mopar’s in the Park and saw a guy selling one for $500. (What a deal) the metal was black/silver but the color of the isolator was a pale yellow. The number stamped on the part was 2265835, part number on the box was 2260673, same as my ‘69 parts catalog, which, too, is Hemi only. My question is what’s the difference between that and a 440/383 mount? Less flexible ’rubber’? Was this early polyurethane? And what’s the worst thing that could happen when using a 383 mount? Too much flex? Prone to cracking? Missed shift?

I believe the hemi mount was made from harder rubber. A new poly one would be much stronger. I have seen a few yellow mounts on the internet, for huge money. If you were doing a 100% type resto, and you knew it was a real one, then maybe. The one or two studs on the early type mount has to do with model years, not hemi or wedge mount.
