Need help on rebuild of a Holley list 7004-1 carb. I'm rebuilding this for a friend that recently purchased a 73 charger SE with this carb installed. The car sat in storage for years so we decided to freshen the carb. This carb was Holley's replacement for the thermoquad used on Mopars. The problem I see is that there was no anti syphon valve under the squirter. Every holley I have worked on had the valve.

That may come in the rebuild kit.

Unfortunately not in the kit and no instructions or schematic. My friend ordered the kit from summit.

Holley list number 7004-1 is a model 4175, which does not use a pump discharge needle. The 7004, service replacement number 1-268 (replaced by number 1-286), is a 4175 spread bore replacement for the Thermo-Quad in 1973 - 1976 340, 400, and 440 applications.

The following images show a 4165/4175 breakdown drawing, a general listing of Holley replacement part numbers for the 4175, and a listing for 7004 specific numbers. The numbers in parenthesis in the 7004 listing correspond to the indicator number in the breakdown drawing.

Thanks for the confirmation. I have that illustration along with others from old rebuild kits but didn't trust the accuracy of the drawings. This carb is date coded 1977 and made in Japan.
