Hotchis Leaf Spring Shackle taller than stock

It's 1/2" or so taller than the stock shackle - anyone know why?

Interesting maybe to help with lift if you have ss springs. According to people who have way better knowledge than myself. one side of ss springs installed the car leaned. Maybe they made them to help level out the car instead of adding more leafs.
