How Much Does Your B-Body Weigh?

Stone stock A12. 440/727/60. Right at 3700 lbs, without me
62 Savoy 2dr, 440/727/8 3/4. All steel, 8pt bar, light seats, no back seat, iron heads, big starter. Uncorked, skinnies and slicks on light wheels:3250
Same car, with huge flowmasters and full tailpipes, steelies and t/a's:3410.
With me in it: 3605.

The A 12 B bodies had fiberglass hoods and no hinges. That has to be at least 75 lbs less than a steel hood setup. They also had HD 11" drum brakes like any base model R/T.

Never weighed any of mine, never occurred to me to do that. I can say my 2500 bighorn weighs 8000lbs plus some with me in it and a full tank. One of my Model A Deeres weighs 5270.

THIS weighs 4940:

Oddly, this 75 Power Wagon was 4770:

Longbed with a 440, 4wd, a Dana 44 up front, Dana 60 out back and STILL weighs less than a 2wd newer truck.

I still had the stock hinges with weak springs on mine. Lift off hoods suck on street cars imo
