my car is put away for the winter.
I am putting 2 afbs on it and am tring to get the linkage dialed in.
With your foot to the floor, how far does the cable move?
Anybody know?

Pull the cable all the way into the the engine compartment so that it is "to the floor." Open the carb(s) to WOT. Tighten both the cable and the sleeve. You're done. The pedal will rest where it needs to be as its separate from any linkage.

The point of this is you don't want the carb(s) wide open before the pedal hits the floor or it puts strain on the linkage, throttle shafts, etc.. By the same token you don't want the pedal to the floor before the carb(s) are fully open.
