Come on...'fess up. Who was the new guy?
Usually I am the guy making the insults but they are almost always my attempt at humor. Sometimes my wit translates poorly through the computer.
 
Looked at W/W and couldn't find it. Think it was a posted question. Should have posted something then. So I screwed that up but thought something should be posted, to get members to think about how they answer to new members.

I saw your reply to the guy in question on that one and all most replied back to give the newbie a break. Then I remembered you've always been helpful to me on my 67 questions so even if the guy agreed to sell you the console for 50 you would have been straight up with him. In the newbies defence I lurked here and FABO for years when I was working on my Warlock. Once I got my coronet, to my fault I never introduced myself cause I had been lurking so long I already felt like a full member.
 
I am getting a case of old timers syndrome. I do get frustrated with members, new or old, that post a question expecting a answer. I have to search for the correct answer why can't they. When you've exhausted all the avenues then ask the question. Another example is like "I destroyed my side marker light and now my turn signals don't work. What do I do?" Duh, fix your side marker and your signals will probably work again. Lol
 
I saw a post today that kind of bugged me. New member, 1st post. He wanted to buy a project car 1968 to 1974? Charger, Dart or something else. It just reminded me of the trollers on every city's Craiglist asking for a muscle car project that want to steal one. Sure they want your 1969 Charger for 1/4 of its worth. I think his name was Uncle Whiskey or something similar.

You mean THIS guy...?
"I destroyed one of my front market light sockets trying to remove it, and my turn signals which I had just fixed no longer work. Hazards work but are VERY faint. If i replace the marker light bulb and socket will it fix my turn signals? Or should I start looking elsewhere?"

Really? You think that MAYBE the exact part that you destroyed could be the reason that it no longer works?
Hey...Cars problems can be difficult to diagnose but what the heck, man? How can people be so dense?
 
It really doesn't matter if they are new or not. The forum is about B body Mopars, it's a brotherhood. Where I come from, you don't attack your friends even when they are wrong. Unless they are sleeping with your wife but lets not open that can of worms!!!!! :mad:
 
The grammar police are the worst, don't get me wrong there's some terrible spelling on here but making people feel like idiots helps nobody. I can't think of anybody that does this though:rolleyes:.
